The problems with this are many, exactly what is a "active duty Commissioned Corps members" mentioned in there? That isn't a definition that exists anywhere in government. |

Sure it does. This clearly states "Section 203 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 204) is amended to read as follows:" So, looking up "42 U.S.C. 204", you can find that it's part of the public health care system. The health care system has an administrative organization - a Commissioned corps - headed by the Surgeon General and composed of regular and reserve officers and of warrant officers. http://www.usphs.gov/ Quote: The Commissioned Corps is an elite team of more than 6,000 well-trained, highly qualified public health professionals dedicated to delivering the Nation's public health promotion and disease prevention programs and advancing public health science. Driven by a passion for public service, these men and women serve on the frontlines in the Nation's fight against disease and poor health conditions. http://www.usphs.gov/questionsanswers/overview.aspx Nothing to see, move along. And those equating this to "brown shirts"? Time to put the tinfoil away. |
