Kaffis and I were discussing that provision a couple of weeks ago. We've yet to decide on the appropriate level of Orwellian Super State metaphor to describe the fact that your television just became the subject of a 1099. |

You know, another angle of this is the sheer wastage of paper. But we won't see even the mildest mention of that from the enviroweenies. Remember, waste is ok when it supports big government, especially on liberal causes! |

American politicians are fundamentally ignorant of how taxation actually works in economic terms. Consequently, the United States has one of the highest aggregate tax rates in the world for actual tax payers. The reality that some 50% of the population has a net-zero or net-negative tax burden ameliorates this truth when it comes to certain tax freedom indices. |
