How many years ago was it that Hillary called for the need of a "gatekeeper" of information on the net? (Dash: Fixed link) |

I love how he disses "arguments that don't always rank that high on the truth-meter." Thank you, Mr. I'll-Make-Up-Whatever-Figures-Will-Help-Me-Push-My-Agenda-Through. |

He may be a hypocrite but he still has a point. I speak with a few people on a regular basis that don't know what the **** is going on in the world because all they pay attention to whatever it is FOX decides is hot that day. |

Yeah, and its so much better to be getting all the media directly from the White house... which moving more and more to bypassing all the media outlets when releasing "news". |

I'm not advocating that anyone get all of their information directly from a single source. I'm saying that's the problem right now. Everyone has a favorite source that they trust, and when that source decides to push an agenda, their faithful viewers gobble it up. NOMNOMNOM. |

Lenas, how would less sources make that problem better? or worse for that matter? It doesn't bother you that Our President is going around saying We need less freedom of the press |

I'm not saying we should have less sources of information at all. Also, I don't think you and I are taking the same message from the President's address. I took it to say, media outlets now are too worried about entertainment and not worried enough about factual reporting. Nowhere in his speech or in any of my posts here has a single source of information been advocated. |

The problem has nothing to do with the number or quality of media sources. It has everything to do with the general ineptitude and the lack of personal responsibility and incentive/desire for personal due diligence. |

So, Bill Clinton walks up to Obama and starts telling him about how wild Hillary used to be in bed and Obama says "TMI!" |

Worse than that I think are the emails that get circulated among certain groups as facts. The people who buy into that crap without verification (and then forward it to me) are truly disturbing. |

Those comments wouldn't bug me so much if it weren't for his absolute disdain of accountability and transparency for his own office. |
