I can actually see the video, but I saw the title of the skit, and so I can guess the contents as I live in the state... Clyburn is a moron.

They're talking about Alvin Greene's landslide victory in the Democratic Primary.

Yeah, I know. Clyburn though is going around with comments like "I'm not saying it was the Republicans, but there is elephant dung all over that election"... or how its hackers and the systems that got him (him as in both Green and Clyburn) elected are prone to abuse... or how someone put him up to this and it needs to be investigated criminally.

He's a moron.

Yeah, that's part of it. It's awesome. And ... you know ...

If anyone in the Democratic Party of South Carolina had a **** clue, they'd be jumping on the chance to run this guy against DeMint.

I'm curious as to why you think so.

DeMint would trounce either one of the two candidates from the Democrat primary.

A good campaign manager and a good marketing strategy could give this guy some serious traction. DeMint is a very strong candidate. And, I agree, it's not like Victor Rawl had ANY chance whatsoever. But ... Alvin Greene? The no-name, no-body from no-where? You could make him the Democrat's Horatio Alger.

I don't think you have been following this much Khross.

Greene destroyed himself in his first interviews regarding any political topic the day he won.

That probably has as much to do with the objections by the Dem's to his win as anything else.

His first few interviews? We can market around this. His non-responsiveness, incommunicative behavior, and general malaise? Shell-shock. Seriously ... if the Democrats had been smarter and faster on this? They'd have been ready to keep him from the press and prep him for a serious campaign.

IF, the Democrats cared about that race even a small iota, and IF they had already done all the leg work and been in position with a game plan should this guy win, and IF the guy had any use for the party and played along, that might have been an option.

However, before the race was over and the first media crew interviewed him, his chances against DeMint were nil.

But, I took your use of the present tense "jumping" to mean you thought this guy was still a viable candidate. It appears though from this most recent comment, you meant prior the election.

Well, yeah, he's going to be hard to do anything with, especially since DeMint comes before Greene alphabetically. But, still ...

It's epic.

It probably wouldn't be a catastrophe if more clueless guys were voted into office... I also agree that it would have been smarter jump on this wagon. It's literally a Hollywood comedy staring Chris Rock. I think his election says a lot of things about politics in America. None of them good. All of them hilarious.
