California May Drop Its Official State Rock Spoiler: I guess she had nothing more pressing to address in the State Legislature. |

I would like to submit a new bill to all states and the fed.... if someone brings in a bill of some sort of idiotic legislation, such as but not limited to: removing the state rock. Then they must pay all members of the legislature otu of their own pockets and not spend taxpayer money to do so. |

We get that here in Rhode Island as well. We have a projected budget deficit of over 2 billion dollars for the year 2011, we have some of the highest unemployment numbers in the country, we have cities who's school councils have bankrupt them, and yet, the legislation in our state congress has hinged largely around attempts to change the name of our state. The state name is The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, and has been since it's founding. The reason for the proposed change? The current name is, of course, racist. |

Things like these are just distractions to get voters in an uproar and prevent them from focusing on the real issues. |

Arnold needs to start busting some heads on this one, and tell them to start focusing on more important issues that actually help the state and its citizens. |

Not gonna happen. Nobody loves him. Pretty sure his numbers are worse than the guy he replaced (the one that got recalled). |

It's not that they do this sort of crap in order to use their Jedi powers to prevent us from focusing on the real issues, it's because they don't want to focus on the real issues - it's too hard. Nah, I think it's characteristic of today's politicians; they are primarily interested in getting their names attached to something and pleasing their pet special interest groups. This is just an example of a two-fer. |

If the legislators who are supporting that want to pay from their pockets for the time... fine. On taxpayer dollars BUGGER OFF! I am glad my dad is getting out of that state. |

Maybe we should fix that by having a term limit of 1 term |

I would be in favor of a federal service limit of 12 years, total, be it House, Senate, or Executive. I would also be in favor of nationalization of the entire legal system, and a ridgid Constitution. |

Any grivence against the govt would disqualify everyone as a conflict of interest. Id lean towards a checks and balance system for our legal system, but what lawyer is going to argue pro on that when it goes to court? |

Also, the high law of the land is already dictated by nine government laywers made unaccountable by lifetime appointment...I don't see how my suggestion could possibly make things any worse. |
