http://www.news10.net/news/local/story. ... 34&catid=2SACRAMENTO, CA-A new poll suggests tight races for California lieutenant governor and attorney general.
A Field Poll released yesterday shows Democratic San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom with a slight lead over Republican Lt. Gov. Abel Maldonado, 42 percent to 37 percent.
The attorney general's race is about even, with Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley and Democrat San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris each at just under 40 percent.

This article got me thinking. will the positive outcome of the San Francisco Giants winning the World Series make the swing voters, the one who will decide the election, more or less likely to vote for Gavin Newsom,
the Mayor of San Francisco, for Lieutenant Governor? Or will the appointed incumbent Abel Maldonado prevail?
What about the SF DA Kamala Harris, will this help her
win the Attorney General's spot over Steve Cooley?
Since both the candidates for Governor are Bay Area residents, will the Giants win affect that race at all?
Tomorrows poll results will be interesting, in any account.
