I think smooshing your sweaty, leotard-clad body against another guy's same is sexual assault. So, basically, the entire sport is one big sexual assault. =P Are there rules against this? I didn't have time to watch the whole video, but I think there are rules against, for instance, hooking somebody's mouth, etc. I would hope, at least, that this would extend to other orifaces, too. (And would never play a sport where such rules are deemed necessary, wow) |

If that's sexual assault, then hitting someone from behind in Lacrosse is assault. It doesn't matter if it's against the rules. If he breaks a rule he's punished by the ref. You don't criminally charge someone for breaking a rule in sports, unless the dude just goes nuts (like knife's him or something). |

It probably ought to be an illegal hold if it's not already, regardless of whatever the coach was saying. Sensationalism aside, I doubt the goal -in terms of wrestling anyway - is to try to cram a finger up someone else's anus, it's to use the coccyx as a grasping point (same neighborhood, different thing). I can't think of a good reason to be trying a move like that in the first place though. If you're in a position where you'd be able to get any leverage in that hold, you'd pretty much have to be positioned with your arm running somewhat parallel to your opponent's torso (the video examples showed this). In that case, your leverage is carrying that motion through the opponent's body, which probably isn't going to get you much closer to a pin in the first place. It's a lot likelier just a real dick thing to do because the coccyx is a comparatively big pain center - you have a ton of nerves there and if someone goes trying to move you bodily by your coccyx, it's going to hurt like hell. Like anything else though, it's all in the context. While I'd have a really hard time saying the above is assault, it's a very short trip from that to something else. |

I was planning on trying out for wrestling when I was in High School, but the lazy hit me and I never tried out. With moves like that, I've never been happier for the lazy. Regardless, the guy is a pussy for bringing this to court. |
