That is not a brutal lashing as the video suggests. I'd take that over 2 years of jail. I did not listen to the sound, so I don't know what the crime was. |

There's no point in turning on sound. I agree that it wasn't very brutal... getting shot playing paintball would be just as bad. |

I said it wasn't a brutal lashing. Lashings are bad, and there's no way they are as easy as being shot by paintballs. But a BRUTAL LASHING, to me, is a guy swinging much harder than that. |

I've mentioned this before, but you guys do realize that you live in a country where it is perfectly legal to shoot someone for stealing or damaging as little as $50 of property in several states, even if the property isn't your own or is even public property and absolutely no credible threat to life or health exists, right? But go ahead and keep saying that it's barbaric to kill for adultery or lash for not being accompanied by a male relation. |

I'm not sure what your point is, as being a woman isn't a crime there, adultery and unaccompaniment are. While you could argue the merits of what is allowed here vs. what is allowed there, it is pretty insulting to dismiss their entire culture as barbaric for such killings when we also are allowed to kill people over very trivial things. |
