Agent Brian A. Terry was shot dead while on patrol near the border city of Nogales on Tuesday night, Tucson sector Border Patrol spokesman Mario Escalante said. "We have four subjects in custody and we are continuing the search for more subjects," Escalante told Reuters. Arizona straddles a furiously trafficked corridor for human and drug smugglers from Mexico. Escalante said the FBI was leading the investigation into the shooting and would provide further details during the day. |

I know that area very well, I was down in I was in Rio Rico last week looking at some property with a friend. I've fished Pena Blanca several times some very rugged country down there. I'd hate to be assigned to patrol that area. Though if you want to hunt cous deer it's a good spot to go. |

My friend who's a Minuteman goes through that area a lot. He says its teeming with illegal aliens and drug runners. He heard the story and wasn't surprised in the least. |
