Escalante said the FBI was leading the investigation into the shooting and would provide further details during the day.

I know that area very well, I was down in I was in Rio Rico last week looking at some property with a friend. I've fished Pena Blanca several times some very rugged country down there. I'd hate to be assigned to patrol that area.
Though if you want to hunt cous deer it's a good spot to go.

My friend who's a Minuteman goes through that area a lot. He says its teeming with illegal aliens and drug runners. He heard the story and wasn't surprised in the least.
