The English accent ("British" is a misnomer applied to accents. Scottish, Northern Irish, and Welsh are also "British") is vastly different from neighborhood to neighborhood even in the city of London. I don't think Cockney sounds anything like the Queen's English, let alone Irish. |

The most pleasing accent I've ever encountered was a very odd mix. The woman was Gyanan, but was raised in London and moved to NYC when she was 18. So she had this wonderful mix of an English accent with heavy hints of the Carribean and New York. Totally hot. |
