ARGHHH this is like the most annoying thing ever - especially with the hike hidden in the healthcare law its going to squash companies from offering dividends as the return isn't likely to make enough of a difference to an investor.

Correct me if I am wrong, but this only affects those who take cash disbursements from dividends? If they roll back into your retirement account they accrue tax free no?

It also affects people who own dividend-paying stocks outside their retirement accounts. You still need to pay dividend taxes even if you reinvest dividends.

Well now that is some serious bullshit. I am outraged but unaffected so my level involvement stops here. Still bullshit.
