Not all that powerful yet, but it evidently works as a proof of concept.

Wow, I bet this could be used by the Coast Guard to stop drug speedboats. Wattched a documentry on how they use snipers off the helicopters to destroy the outboard motors. This would be a lot better

Ooh, it's an ER Large laser. We're over a thousand years ahead of the IS. Now all we need is the jumpships to get around the galaxy, and we can get the Terran Hegemony underway.
