If the house was still Democrat I'd agree with this article. Being the start of election season I doubt we will see any new bailouts. As long as the Democrats do not regain control of the house after the elections, I doubt the USPS will get anything greater than a funding bandaid.

IIRC, the USPS operates at a loss most or all the time anyway. I don't know why you wouldn't think they'd bail it out thought. There are a lot of potential lost votes there.

The US Postal Service won't be "bailed out", it will "continue to be funded".

This is one both the unions and big business can agree on.

20 years ago, I'd say the USPS was critical to our economy. If it went away, it would impact business heavily, but I'm not sure I can call them critical anymore.
