**** that ****, kick them all the **** out. Do not give them two years of college. If they choose to serve in the military, that is fine. But free legal status just because they were **** felons, who went to school... eat a dick government. |

Wasn't there once this other guy who was President and whenever he did something unilaterally that stretched the bonds of executive power liberals screamed impeachment? If I remember didn't Obama run on a platform of how much he wasn't this guy. |

I hate Harry Reid now, more than ever. His state is suffering through the worst unemployment in the nation and he praises Obama's decision to allow illegals to remain in the state. Right in the ear. |

It's not like it matters. Soon illegal Americans will be flooding Mexico and Canada looking for employment...the debt is going to catch up with you, making all this immigration stuff moot. |

There's a lot of /facepalm in this thread. On topic, I'm not a big fan of the over heightened animosity toward illegals, but Obama needs to do his job. What a jackass. Oh, and kids who are brought here by their parents are not felons. |

Sure they're felons. They're felons on their juvie record, to be sure, and I'm okay with sealing that later. But they're felons just as much as if their parents taught them to assist in robberies and brought them along. |

Oh, and kids who are brought here by their parents are not felons. Grey area to me. I do not consider children illegally smuggled to the US to be felons, and i do not feel they should be punished for their parents crime by being incarcerated. The parents , if they have children (under 18), should be warned- next time you're here illegally we send you to jail and your children to your country of origins orphanages. There are few deterrents to crossing the boarder with baby in tow. Its creating an unsafe situation for the kids involved if the reward for jumping the boarder is greater than the risk of the trip. No jobs for them. All wire transfers out of country need legal photo I'd verification. The moment states make it just a little tougher for illegals to operate (ie Arizona) they flee. Oh and any sanctuary cities will not receive any federal funds. Or we just shoot em at the boarder. Enough bloated corpses in the sun will fix it. |

Kaffis Mark V wrote: But they're felons just as much as if their parents taught them to assist in robberies and brought them along. Terrible analogy. A more appropriate analogy would be if the parents committed a robbery with child in tow. If you are forced to commit a crime, you're not (should not be) a criminal. |

Hannibal wrote: Or we just shoot em at the boarder. Enough bloated corpses in the sun will fix it. While from a legal and national security and soverignty standpoint I have no issue with shooting illegals crossing the border, as a practial matter we do not want a lot of bloated corpses rotting in the sun - nor do we want a Border Patrol manned by the sort of psychopaths that could actually do this. That siad, it is incredibly dangerous to drag a small child along when you're illegally crossing the river. |

We have few enough jobs as it is without felons coming here taking more of them illegally. |

That's a big part of why the economy in Texas is doing better than the national average. I'd have to disagree with you here, RD. Texas has done better in the recession due to the fact that a huge part of their economy is made up of the oil industry, which is doing fine despite the economic downturns. In fact, I'd bet that all the "bright spots" in the country have a heavy oil industry presence. |

Where eactly do you get this idea, and if all those jobs are going to illegal immigrants, how is that helping the job situation? And how do you know this has anything to do with Texas's economy? |
