They confirm three individuals were in the vehicle; a man and two minors. All three were transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo, OH and are listed in serious condition.

ATF along with several other law enforcement agencies are on the scene.

A Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputy told Action News the investigation is criminal and a news conference will be held later Wednesday morning.

I suspect that if it wasn't an accident (it's officially listed as a "car fire with explosion"), it was an effort to target this man directly (he's a litigator), rather than an effort of "terrorism".

That's what I am leaning towards but it is weird because it went off while he was driving at speed down a very rural stretch of highway which is just odd.
