I'm curious who's actually the best shot with various weapons. (as someone who hasn't fired a gun in the last 15 years, I'm most defiantly not in this.) Pick a range, and a particular class of weapon, etc. |

I'm guessing I'd be near the front with a recurve and a knife, but I'm guessing there's some folks here that would blow me away with firearms. |

I'm a pretty good archer within 50-60 yards or so. |

I'm pretty decent with handguns between 10 and 20 yards Especially large caliber semi autos. |

It is not me. Full power pistol at 11 yards, I'm lucky to put together 3" groups with no fliers. I want to get that same grouping at 25 yards. Rifle I haven't shot in forever. |

I shoot 2" groups at 15 yards with m9 and 1911s, and am relatively good with AR15s and M1As out to 200 yards (never been to a range with longer distances than that). The Air Force says I'm an expert with the m9 and m16 but our qualification isn't all that difficult... |

I used to be quite a good shot with a rifle, and not really crappy with a pistol, but I haven't shot nearly as much since moving to the city. Also pretty decent shot when it comes to skeet. |

Shuyung, at one point in his life, was able to get 10 rounds within a dime. The best I ever did was to put five on a nickel, with an open-sight rifle. |

Does two boxing time crisis on a single credit each count? |

I only ever really shot open sighted rifles. Our tests were driving a nail by hitting the head, and knocking the heads off of tacks. |

Does a Louisville slugger count? Cause if you get within swing distance of me, I'm pretty accurate. |

Better at rifle than handgun by far. at 50' I can hit a 4 inch metal ring 3 out of 10 times with my 9mm. I picked up an old mosin nagant I never fired and got a 2 inch group at 100 yards for rifle. I haven't actually gone to a range and fired my own in a while - I'm more likely helping someone learn these days. |

I had nine M-16 rounds in a group about the size of a quarter. That being said it is kinda hard to tell once you get that many holes together in one little place. As Timmit said above, I was expert with a 9mm and an M-16. Not that hard to do in the Army. In Panama I impressed my LT. so much with my rifle that they made me the company 'marksman' for riot control ops. |

I have a lot of respect for anyone who can shoot well at 20 yards or more with pistol (or any handgun for that matter) with iron sights. |

This is a good excuse to get to the range and fire some rounds. I'll see about scanning in my results. |

Last time I shot pistol I could get a 3" group at 21 yards. Then fell apart at 25 yards. Basic beginner stuff, over ten years ago. Doubt I could even do that well now. Emer comes to mind as a pretty good shot. |

Man, I hate when that happens. I haven't shot a rifle since high school rifle club I do know I was pretty good at the time, but would need a bit of practice these days. |
