Romney v. Obama Was a Nauseating Draw, and Both Deserve to Lose

HEMPSTEAD, NY - OCTOBER 16: Republican presid...

HEMPSTEAD, NY - OCTOBER 16: Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney (L) speaks as U.S. President Barack Obama listens during a town hall style debate at Hofstra University October 16, 2012 in Hempstead, New York. (Image credit: Getty Images via @daylife)

Back in 1968, Alabama Governor George Wallace thundered that “There’s not a dime’s worth of difference between the Republicans and Democrats.” Wallace’s famous quote sprung to mind last night as Mitt Romney and Barack Obama squared off in their second debate.

Surely there were differences between them, but to watch the debate was to see two candidates vying to say who would cut taxes the least for top earners, who would “crack down” most on China, and who believed the most in an “all of the above” energy strategy. Neither said much of import, if at all, each candidate won certain segments, but the impossible to escape conclusion was just how unimpressive both candidates were.

It was like two beginners playing tennis with each other, neither able to hit the ball over the net. Both deserve to lose.

I found it hilariously uncomfortable.

I look forward to when the Dems agree to a debate with Rush or Ann Coulter as the moderator.

It was amazing.

Obama spent the debate not talking about what he did/didn't do in the last four years
Romney spent the debate not talking about what he would do for the next four years

Both called each other liars and both of them are.

I look forward to when neither of them are dignified with anyone caring about the mindless drivel that pours out of their mouths. Replacing Blue partisan hacks with Red partisan hacks doesn't solve the problem of having partisan hacks moderating a debate.

I have a dream that little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their political party but by the content of their ideas.

That is such a typical liberal thing to say.

Stole the words out of my mouth. I said almost this exact thing to Kaffis.

It was a hot summer night and the beach was burning,
There was fog crawling over the sand.

I'd rather have Tony Stark.

Going with Thor, if my president needs to have a god complex, I would rather it be from actually being a God.

Unlike the previous debate where the moderator was irrelevant, this debate was rendered irrelevant by the moderator. Once a moderator strays into the territory of correcting either participant on subject matter, it's no longer a debate.

Thor was not born in the US and is not able to run for President.

I can't remember...wasn't Donald Blake just a person that Odin created to humble Thor? IN this day and age...they would find something fishy about him.

Cap is the safe and best bet. War vet, never quit attitude and has off the scale leadership abilities. I also doubt he would abuse his position to turn a profit for himself.

I could live with Tony.

I'll take Steve.

Even a pre-Emma Scott works for me ... most days, but I suspect that Ororo Munroe would likely make the best of the bunch.

In this Civil War ...

I'm with Storm.

Wow, my first thought upon reading that was "But she's ineligible because she was born in Africa!" #bigpicture

Edit: oh, wait, no, born in Harlem to a Kenyan mother and American father, then soon after move to Egypt. I think we know where the attack ads would go.

I couldn't vote for Cap due to him being so out of touch. I mean really, do we need a 40's era dinosaur setting policy in today's modern society?

Give me Tony over Cap any day. Billionaire playboy philanthropist genius scientist over Soldier... um... soldier.
