O dawg will be elected because he is only capable of running against others, not on his own accomplishments or policies. He won by being the most "not Bush" of the two (and the econ tanking helped his #s).

That's going to be Obama's campaign; "Don't vote Republican because it'll be Another Bush". He didn't run against McCain last time, he ran against Bush.

Depends if he gets a primary challenge or not. It wouldn't surprise me if he manages to squeak through, but I'm not expecting it.

It smells like the D machine is test marketing a Hillary run. She's been kept safely isolated from Obama, and Billy boy has given token resistance to Obamas election picks.

I think if O Dawg starts tanking close to primary season, we will see Hillary trotted out as a palateable alternative. Kinda a good Dem bad Dem scene where we all know they are on the same team, but the perception is that one is better. Shell game with the public just so the Dems have a puppets signing legislation.
