Sounds like one of those Image comics. At least the spelling. Just call it Darkchild or something without "wacky/extreme spelling."

Wildstorm, IIRC, Wwen. And the y comes from the character's last name's spelling, Ariel Chylde. Which, I suppose, doesn't preclude your argument.
