Is this where I get indignant about you calling me a liar?

No, this is the part where you get to get indginant that I'm not accepting your opinion as fact. I never claimed you didn't watch FOX at breakfast (although I find that rather astounding) nor did I claim you don't think that you see attacks there. I claimed that your idea of what constitutes an attack is sheer nonsense.

Quote:
And this is reasonable debate how?"Your opinions don't count". Really? This is what I have observed. Am I lying or am I telling the truth?

No, your opinions do not count. Just because you come here and claim "I observed X number of attacks on Fox News" does not mean they occured. Lying and telling the truth are irrelevant. All you're doing is expounding on your opinions, so unless you're not stating your actual opinion you're obviously telling the truth. That doesn't mean that your perception is reasonable.

It's not opinion, it's observable fact. It's as clear to me as the weather out side the hotel I'm currently at.

Fixed.

You're talking about an issue that's at least aprtly subjective, so it is not a matter of observable fact.

No, it isn't. Fox News attacks President Obama as a matter of course. I have personally observed it. Am I lying? I have been observing it for weeks, any time Fox News is on TV that I have no power to turn off or change the channel. It's almost relentless. If they are talking about politics, it's attacking the Obama administration, liberals, or democrats, or lionizing Republicans and conservatives. Fox News is not a legitimate news outlet.

You've observed what you think are attacks on Obama by Fox. You thinking something an attack is meaningless. Your opinion is not the determinant.

I have observed actual attacks on Obama by Fox News. I have observed outright false stories presented as real news by Fox, all attacking the President, liberals, and democrats. This is not a matter of opinion, it is a matter of objective fact. You can keep ignoring that if you want, but that doesn't make you correct.

Fox News lies, distorts, and promotes it's agenda first and foremost, in higher priority than the truth. They have defended their right to do so in court. Fox News is not a legitimate news outlet.

You can keep claiming it, but that doesn't make you correct.

Repeating it over and over just makes you guilty of argumentum ad nauseum. IT's not observable fact. Period.

You can keep denying it, but that doesn't make you correct. Repeating your denial just makes you guilty of argumentum ad nauseum.

It is an observable fact. I have observed it, repeatedly. It is clear to everyone, it seems, but defenders of fox news.

It's not an observable fact. That's clear to everyone except detractors of Fox News.

Wow just wow. Is what I have observed repeatedly a clear to everyone fact? How many times does it have to be observed for it to be fact? I have seen some weird stuff that I would love to claim as fact for all but the deluded.

UF, every time the station is on, and they are talking politics, it is either a direct or indirect attack on Obama. Fox News has run with every crazed conspiracy theory about Obama. They continually make **** up about Obama, democrats, and liberals. It happens just about every day, and is *well* documented.

They are not a legitimate news organization.

Of course not. We are talking about Fox News. If you want to make an argument that CNN or MSNBC is illegitimate because of a pro obama bias, then by all means, do so. But that has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Just FYI for any who may care, this seems to be the new talking point among the lib crowd. I've seen this phrase or a close copy in a number of articles.

Of course it's a talking point. Everything that comes out of Monte's mouth is a liberal talking point. It's truly amazing that we're blessed with one so influential amongst his peers; we have a real trendsetter here amongst us.

In addition, I would like to establish exactly what Monte disagrees with here.

Monte:

Fox News does not promote any specific agenda towards an ideological end. It co-opts, and perverts several overlapping ideologies in an effort to make money. It does so through manipulation of facts, and corperate looting. It does this for no benevolant purpose, it seeks to serve Ruppert, and Fox's shareholders.

In this way, Fox is no different than any other cable news outlet.

Is it the looting, and manipulation you have a problem with, or is it just the side they take in the looting and manipulation?

Wow some people are upset that Fox does not get tingles up their legs for Barry, and that makes them a bad news sources. Does Olberman leg tingles = real journalism?

Actually Fox attacking the president is a very shrewd businesses decision. Because I have observed many times the other networks being in bed with Obama, so many times its an observable fact, that only the Obama worshipers can deny, that Fox has created a solo market for those of us not praising barry.

The moderator log doesn't have any of your posts being deleted. The most recent deletion was of a post by it's author in the general forum.

The next most recent was Friday in one of the PbP gaming forums.

Board didn't take, maybe?

No, it was there, was on page 3 that said basically (from memory, but it was short)..

Quote:
"The best thing about Fox News is the Where are they Now series they have been doing on 80's shows.

And the sphexy response from its detractors"

I know it was there because I used it as marker to know where new posts started when I visited the thread later in the day, but I don't see it now.

I will not however rule out that I am going insane, seeing things that don't exist, or posted it in a different thread by accident.
