I get my Magic fix at Wal Mart and I'd rather get my games from them rather than the Gamestop. I do like the meat at Kroger better though. Wal Marts meat seems really watered down. Kroger also has the best vanilla ice cream I've ever had. Have to go to Wal Mart for certain things tough. No one else close by carries the Stouffers bread pizzas.

My local game store offers a discount on games of 20% off the list price. And try the the Target Archer Farms brand of ice cream if you can! Yummy, without all the artificial flavourings.

The Walmart near where I live is filthy. The one near my brother in law is sparkling clean and has great staff. I usually go the Whole Foods.

Not true. I got a freezer full of them a couple of months ago on sale at Kroger, remember? We stocked up. Of course, they're all gone now....I'll buy more if they go on sale again.

I could have sworn we got those at Wal-Mart because I've seen those big boxes in the friges. Kroger has their frozen pizzas in those reach down freezers in the aisle.

We usually buy them at wal-mart, but one time Kroger was having a two boxes for five bucks sale on the supreme ones...remember I bought like 7 boxes?

I have yet to find anything at Wal-Mart whose quality matched my expectations. I've never purchased any foodstuffs there though.

Safeway is the only real option around here that isn't Walmart. The PX is filthy and the nearest whole foods is 45 minutes away. No way I'm shopping at Walmart, Giant Food, or Food Lion, they're all stupidly expensive.

Damn, I feel lucky.

So many options here, some expensive, some not so expensive, and the day old bakeries are downright cheap.

Not that I use them, Raley's is three blocks away, Safeway is about a mile and I never go there. The Nugget is for when I'm feeling flush and want something special, though if you shop carefully there you can save a bit. Whole Foods is a special trip across town, worth it occasionally. Costco is for large quantities of staples.

I haven't even mentioned WinCo and FoodMaxx, where the prices are great but the selection is limited.

Trader Joe's is surprisingly affordable if you are careful.

Largish city life does have some perks.

Nite and LK would have to confirm, but they probably don't have a Target in their neck of the woods. The area they live in is rather smallish, and about 150 miles away from any larger city in every direction, IIRC.

Oh yeah. I forget how much difference living near a big city makes. Maybe they ought to move to Denver and I can show them the glory of a BFE farmhouse half an hour from a major metropolitan area.

Yeah Taamar, might be nice, but there are a few factors that make me think that isn't going to happen. I know you're not terribly serious about the suggestion, but I'll explore it anyway.

Nitefox has a decent job which he likes (would you walk away from that in these times?) and lives near his largish family, who all seemed to be nice people when I met them at the wedding. That has a lot of value when picking where to live.

LadyKate has made a lot of friends in the area, understandably. She can be a very bright happy person and likes helping others. She is active in her church, and she is pretty fond of Nitefox's family.

There is also the rather large factor of Nitefox's children, whom he loves a lot and spends as much time with as he can, He isn't going to separate from them by a thousand miles or more for better shopping.

Those of us with looser ties to our own biological families sometimes lose track of how important they are to those with strong ties. I see my own family rarely, and my daughter only about once a month, and will probably see her less when she picks and attends a four year college. I could see moving when I retire in a few years, should the right factors present themselves. If I had the type of ties here NF and LK's have to their area, it wouldn't happen.

Things change, but I really don't see them moving without a lot of factors changing.

Micheal knows us well. :)

I still daydreaming about living on a farm somewhere out west though.
