Pick one! I vote twenty eleven. Anyone who thinks otherwise should be beaten.

I chose twenty eleven although I normally would say "Oh eleven" like I said "Oh ten," "oh nine" and so on . . .

It's funny because before the Millennium everyone would have unanimously pronounced the movie 2012 as "twenty twelve", but I think the 2000's have corrupted people's vocabulary.

Sadly, I do this too. Despite knowing that it's horribly incorrect, I have trouble not saying it :(

Today is 1/1/11!! I feel like I should celebrate or mark it somehow. I dunno, maybe get married, like those millions of crazy superstitious Chinese on 8/8/08 or whatever.

Anyway, two-thousand eleven it is, for me. At least, that's what I said in my head when I saw the figure.

1999 was "Nineteen Ninety Nine" Not "One thousand, Nine Hundred Ninety Nine." Thus 2011 Should be "Twenty Eleven."

Mostly it was just 99 in my circles.

However, as always, we will only have the momentary illusion of being able to name something. The historians will change it all for posterity in about twenty years.

Might makes right in linguistical sorta things! No need to follow rules from the past if they feel awkward now.

At least admit that you would have called it "twenty eleven" if it were 12 years ago. :P

On Fox News, someone just said "Twenty Twelve"!!! yay

If everyone started saying the years correctly, I don't think anything could make me happier.

Some guy on the radio today said "twenty ten". I think that less syllables are going to win out.

Twenty-One-One has less syllables than Twenty-Eleven. This said, I suspect Twenty-Eleven will be more popular.

One one is difficult to say compared to eleven.
