Thanks guys. I'm starting a round of Star Trek marathonning in her memory, hopefully I'll last well into the night. Starting off with the reboot movie (the only one she really liked, oddly enough), and then setting in on TOS, starting with a couple of her favorite episodes.

I'm not sure if I'll have the strength tomorrow to call her parents. I'm not sure what I could/should say.

Tell them the truth, that you were remembering her, and thinking of them, and you want them to know that she was and is loved and had made friends all over the place who also miss her. She was a valued contributing member of an on-line community that still think very fondly of her.

Peace brother, we feel your pain of her loss, if not as deeply as you, then at least as deeply as anyone losing a good friend.

No Chucks, but my daughter wears them, which will make me think of Amdee fondly. I'll be sure to watch Star Trek tonight, too, and maybe even take in the reboot again, perhaps seeing it in a new light. Thanks, Kaffis, for keeping her memory alive.

I needed an extra pair of sneakers for walking around in, so I bought a pair of chucks. $10 at Wal Mart, and while they may not be "genuine" (I have no idea) when you're 35 and really just need them to be comfortable, they work.

I should have never came back here. I had no clue. I did not even know Kaffis and her had gotten close irl. I am so sorry. She was my favorite person here and just was such a great person. I wished I could say something worthy, but I'm not good enough with words. I guess if I never would have came back here I never would have known. I am not sure that would be such a bad thing.
