Comic book fans, can someone please explain today's Ctrl-Alt-Del comic to me. I don't get the reference.

Today's CAD comic

It describes the way Captain America was killed a couple years back (shot on the courthouse steps).

I looked up the two names I didn't recognize, and it appears that they're Resident Evil characters. I don't see the relation there.

Edit: Unless it's a Marvel vs. Capcom strip, which would make sense.

Thanks Kaffis. I didn't know if the two Resident Evil characters had something to do with it.

I actually thought that perhaps in the latest Captain America story arc, he is being sued and therefore would have been at the courthouse.

I HATE inside jokes....when I am not on the inside. :P

No, he was being brought in to be tried for violating the Superhuman Registration Act at the end of Civil War.

Yeah it's a Marvel Vs Capcom and Death of Cap, two-in-one reference. Game came out recently (today?), which is why he was talking about Cap being "his" front-line brawler.
