Yes...I meant that they both win Superbowls..not just watch other teams playing in the Superbowl, like the Cleveland Browns.

Cleveland is one of four NFL teams that has yet to reach the Super Bowl. Furthermore, Cleveland has never hosted a Super Bowl, making it the only NFL city to have neither hosted nor sent a team to the Super Bowl.

+1 for correctly recognizing, and preemptively addressing, the "Superbowl Gambit". Many followers of upstart NFL teams have been deluded their whole lives by that bit of marketing.

I had to set plenty of Pittsburgh fans straight on this back in February.

They decided to let a bunch of NFL-reject teams join our party, and renamed the game at the end of the season for marketing purposes - so they could license the name of the game itself. That somehow means pre "Super Bowl" championships don't count?

If they add a couple expansion teams this season and start calling it the "NFL Super De Duper Bowl" instead, I'm thinking Steelers fans wouldn't be OK with going back to zero championships...
