All I know is that when I take the vitamins I get nosebleeds and don't get nosebleeds when I don't take them.
Maybe I'm getting too much A or E in my diet? I don't eat liver but I do have eggs every morning and I eat a lot of bread...isn't all that fortified anyway?

Almost everything is fortified these days. I know when my wife had a bout with low iron, she craved pasta.

Yeah, but it's 33% from beta carotene. So it's only 2000 IU of the retinoid form, which is ultimately the one that matters. The 1000 IU of beta carotene shouldn't matter.

This! He was 5 years old the first time they cauterized him. The doctor told him it was a "big match". First seed of pyromania.

So, I just got back from the Dr. I saw him for literally 3 minutes. He came in, measured my belly, listened to the heartbeat and left. I had just enough time to ask him what position the baby was in, what the measurements were, and whether or not I could get the h1n1 flu shot (he said no, there was not a non-live shot available in our area and would not be for some time) and I didn't even get to bring up the vitamin thing.
Some doctors really irritate me. He is one of them.

This would be the point at which I change doctors. All of mine will spend a good 15-20 minutes to me, talking about what's going on in my life, etc.

It's quite difficult to get a good feeling for someone's overall health if you don't know what external factors are effecting it.

Well this is only the second visit I have had with him...I had to change doctors because I had been going to the obgyn in the town where I work and not the town where I live. There is a big difference in the hospitals (the one where I work is awful!) and I wanted to have the baby closer to home so I had to switch.
This Dr came highly recommended by husband and his mother and everyone else...
Unfortunately, I think he is an ***.
Also, no one else will take me as a new patient this far into it (34 weeks.)
I'm seriously considering just not going to the hospital when I go into labor.... :?

You jest, but I sent him some links of home births a few weeks ago.
He refused to watch them.
