The Glade 4.0

So back to my life... I went on an amazing date with the 25 year old Brazilian. She's a really smart girl and we really opened up to each other by the end of the night. We first played tennis and were awful at it, and then started talking at the net. I invited her up to my apartment to get drinks but she declined... instead we went to a bar. We didn't know any bars down the area but I explained how I could use my GPS (she didn't believe me). We got to the bar and started drinking Sam Adams... and literally talked about everything... parents, relationships, traveling our pasts, movies, shows, friends, eachother... it was really great. I even told her what my uncle Paul said about blowing into a Brazilian's ear to make her pregnant... she was saying how it's unfortunate that Brazilians are thought of as slutty. We both had a lot of fun. She invited me to drive her to her class at Harvard Square. By the end of the night at the bar, we were holding eachother's hands and it was romantic. I also talked to her about my concerns of being too obnoxious on the phone, but it wasn't a big deal to her and she said it's best to just text her (even though she ignored me once). We also talked about touching and culturally who does it... apparently Brazilian guys are extremely touchy everywhere but Americans aren't. I drove her back to her car and kissed her good night... on the cheek. At first she was going to give me lips but she decided against it and turned away at the last moment (this is better, in my opinion, because the sexual tension is preserved). The fact that she considered it, and that she invited me to pick her up to take her into boston, are both very good signs.

However, I'm going on a date with another girl Monday... so it will be interesting if I date two girls at once...

Back to my mediocre life...

Friday I went to a Killers concert. Saturday I saw my ex and reconciled. Then stayed the night at crazy Kelly's place - she didn't get arrested this time. Sunday I saw my parents and brother for Chinese lunch, then went back to Amherst to see Nadia, the sister of my friend Ivan. Joked about touching her... she said she had scissors on hand. Updated her about her brother's life (they don't talk much apparently, and she resents this). Drove back to Acton... a.k.a. the "wilderness". Monday is a bank holiday. I took off today.

So tonight I went on a really amazing date with Luci, the Brazilian girl. I decided to go to Alewife and take the T, because it makes it a more exciting adventure. She got to class on time, and in the meantime I wandered around Harvard Square looking for good joints to get food and drink. I also found sun glasses... I managed to lose my last ones only 2 days after buying them... which my parents had paid for. So I feel kind of bad. Anyways she finally got out of class after 2 hours and we got burgers and then looked for an inexpensive bar to get drinks. We finally found a place, and they wouldn't accept Luci's passport as valid id!! So instead we went back to Acton to drink at a bar there - the same one we went to last time. We connected very well during the date, and were very open with eachother about almost everything... it was so much fun and exciting. We were holding hands and touching eachother at the bar... I had her sit next to me. I also verbally made sure she was comfortable with us touching. I love dates where the other person is actually able to openly communicate, because you become close to them so quickly. We plan on seeing eachother again next Wednesday, and I look forward to that. She is going to New Hampshire this weekend with her friend, which I'm jealous of. I really lucked out on randomly meeting her in the book store. She's the only girl I approached in Acton... I just basically lucked out a lot. Of course it's possible things might go sour with her soon, but I find it unlikely at this point. I'm glad that I'm courageous and confident enough to talk to strangers and not be awkward! My mom calls it "creepy" to talk to strangers, but obviously if I didn't, I wouldn't have met this great girl who lives so close. I am anxious about the fact that she will leave in a year back to Brazil, but that's a long time away.

Never date more women than you can juggle torches.

Hahaha, I like that one. I don't want to pursue anyone else unless things go very sour with the Brazilian. I don't think dating multiple people helps with anything other than getting laid more frequently... which is an interesting goal but not one I want right now.

I figured out the best scheme ever to sleep with lots of girls. I talk to them, preferably online or where ever else I meet them. Then I invite them to play tennis. There are tennis courts right outside my apartment. Requires 0 effort on my part, they do the driving.

I'm taking a very long break from the Glade.......... all cheap internet thrills are detrimental to my psyche... bye............
