If Ramirez seeks reinstatement in the future, the process under the Drug Program will be completed. MLB will not have any further comment on this matter."

Hah! Someone just texted me this news, too. Wow. so much for his HoF chances.

No one but the soft throwers and light hitters of the 90's era is going to have any real shot at the HOF until the voters make some drastic changes to their standards. Jeff Bagwell proved this.

Not really a performance enhancer, unless it's a pie-eating contest.

Not much to cheer about in Marinerville these days, but watching tonights game 8th and 9th inning of the Blue Jays @ Mariners was pretty fun.

Down 7-1 in the 8th inning on a night when King Felix started was pretty disheartening, but thanks to complete collapse of the Blue Jays bull pen (3 consecutive walks for runs), and some clutch hitting in the 9th from the youngsters (Saunders, Smoak and Luis Rodriguez), the Mariners managed to win it with a walk-off with two outs in the bottom of the 9th....

I think they broke the machine at Fangraphs.

Effectively, MR is saying he has enough money now, MLB go screw yourselves.

The Indians are perplexing me... I thought our offense would turn out to be our achilles heel but they've been putting up numbers. Hope we can keep the long-ball going...

Santana and Choo are a legitimate high end 3-4 combination, and are driving the offense.

Cabrera is a monster and Hafner actually has power again. I thought once the book closed on the roid era he'd just waste away on the bench and strike out 2-3x per game.

Mariners win again tonight. Micheal Pineda got his first Major League win. This kid is a beast. 6' 7" and close to 250lbs, throwing high 90's fastballs, and his still-needs-work breaking ball makes hitters look silly

I've never seen Josh Beckett pitch this well during the regular season. The man has alot to prove this season after the abysmal year he had in 2010, and he's currently on course to do exactly that.

I hope they start turning this around. Winning 3 out of 4 against the Blue Jays and 1 out of 2 against the A's was a start, but they need to keep winning series, including beating the Angels this upcoming one.

ChiSox almost no-hit my Yanks tonight. Humber got thru 6.1 innings before allowing a single up the middle to ARod.

ChiSox added another run late to take the 4 game opener in the Bronx, 2-0.

Meanwhile, appears the Yanks have shut down Phil Hughes after a poor bullpen session. They are trying to figure out what is wrong with him, but as of now he's mentioned numbness which leads me to believe possible aneurysm, a la David Cone and Ian Kennedy of recent past.

The Red Sox and Rays have been on good winning streaks, and the AL East is tightening up a bit at the top, with the Jays and O's falling behind.

Who the **** are these pitchers? They certainly aren't members of the Red Sox. I don't recognize any of them.

He left the game tonight with an injured elbow. I think he might need Tomohito Jonji surgury.

Hrm.. almost 1/6 through the season already.

Perhaps I need to look over the Yankees a bit more, since I don't know who they have pitching 4 out or 5 days to get a record like that!

Cleveland... yeah. Cleveland?!

Florida... wait, Florida?! I thought they traded away all their notable players again like they do every year. They're in the same division and I can't really name all that many players who currently wear the fish!

Lastly, Halladay seems to be on a whole other level than perhaps any other pitcher right now. Not because of his pitches themselves... lots of pitchers have really great stuff, and Halladay has certainly had his share of problems even this early into the season, even including one pretty bad game. Postgame pitching highlights don't leave your jaw dropping. It's more... hm, perhaps this is a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy, but I find myself having higher expectations for him than any other pitcher now. Halladay goes 7 innings, gives up 2 runs on 8 hits? I almost feel a bit disappointed, and guiltily so. Only 7 innings? That's merely human! For all the other great pitchers on the Phillies staff I would be perfectly happy with a line like that, but Halladay is the guy who pitched a perfect game, who no-hit the best offense in the National League (all of baseball, maybe? memory does not serve me here) in the postseason, who consistently goes 8 or 9 and rarely shows any dropping off towards the end of the game while doing so, all without saying much at all.

I fear he has spoiled me for the rest of my baseball life. Have... have Braves fans got over no longer having Maddux + Glavine + Smoltz yet?

Now, we just need to remember how to hit on any sort of consistent basis at all and these games wouldn't be so hard to watch!
