Browser updates should always be "yay". That is, if you care about the internet getting more awesome.

People saying "nay" is why we still have Internet Explorer 6 lingering around.

The main thing to keep in mind with browsers, is that even if you don't want to do an update due to UI changes, you still should because you're always going to be getting an upgraded rendering/javascript engine, as well as more support for new technologies.

I usually say "nay" for the first few weeks until all of the plugins and addons have been updated to work with the new version.
