Beckett is 31 and inked through the end of the 2014 season, when he'll be 34, and through his prime. He makes 17 million/year with this contract, and should probably expect to command between 12-14/year with a three year deal for his next contract, which Boston will be more than willing to pay him barring some unexpected meltdown of some sort.
