Well of course dumber people would use the default choice. I don't think that says anything about the browser itself. As a result I don't think the study is fair.

I agree, and that's a good point. If Chrome were the default browser then the 'dumb' demographic would be using that.

Of course dumb people use the default choice. The point is, smart people don't use Internet Explorer. There's a difference.

Well the title isn't "Are Google Chrome users smart?" its "Are Internet Explorer users dumb?" to which the answer is "Of course because its the default choice."

Don't get me wrong I use Chrome for everything for which I can use Chrome. I wish that was everything but it's not. Resultantly, I don't see Chrome as the pinnacle of evolution anymore than I do a #2 Phillips screwdriver. Its a great tool and wouldn't the world be nice if every screw had a #2 Phillips head. However that's not reality.

This really says

"People who are too lazy to find a better browser aren't as smart as people who aren't too lazy to find a better browser"

MS Explorer is the lowest common denominator.

It's used as a default, so those folks aren't as sharp as others...

And it's used by folks that have work to do on some sites that only work with IE so they don't bother using anything else, but don't have time for fooling around with IQ tests when the clock is ticking.

Will someone that is REALLY smart take the time to do online IQ tests?

Somehow I'm not surprised.
