Oh, hey, turns out Flash sucks after all.

Unlike Flash, they don't own HTML5 (they can't, it's a specification), so it'll be interesting to see what happens even if they try to switch over.

I still don't get the hatred for Flash. Its like hating Cassette Tapes or Laser Discs.

They work for what they're supposed to do, and they're not terrible. Outdated, sure I suppose. But because the big Apple Overlord hates it, I guess its cool to hate it too. All Hail Jobs! The bringer of truth, justice and the latest web standards! Praise Him!

**** Steve Jobs. I hope Apple loses all of its money and then Steve dies a horrible and painful death. This has nothing to do with Flash, but I feel much the same as Mus. There's nothing wrong with it, really. It's just kinda there. No reason to hate it.

It's hated for the same reason people hate IE6 (or 7)...it's outdated tech and if more people would just wise up to that, or at least be pushed into not using it and instead using the Shiny New Thing (which A) is objectively better [for the reasons already outlined], B) no learning curve is required, and C) isn't "new" in the least, it's been around so long it's an accepted gorram standard), the world would be a better place.

Hatred of Flash has nothing to do with Steve Jobs. That's only why the sheep dislike the technology. Don't get things twisted. Flash is a blight on the internet and as a developer I can honestly say I'll be happy when it's gone.
