That's perfect Amanar. You and Rynar will make it 12. Send me an email address that I can send the league invite too. Same for you Rynar.

Ok sports fans, we have two issues to discuss.

First off concerns our two new members. Welcome Amanar and Rynar! What we need to figure out is where they will pick in the draft. I had planned on setting the draft order by where you placed last year, very fair and normal way of doing things. But with two new teams, how do we figure that one out? It's been a while since a pro league has added new teams, how do they handle it? Do we let them pick 1st and 2nd seeing as they don't have any keepers? Do they go to the back of the line? Personally, I'm more inclined to let them pick 1 and 2 then in order of last years finish for everyone else. Please give me your thoughts as to what seems fair.

The second thing is when do we want to do the draft? We will go with a live draft as we have every year. I know not everyone will be able to make it but we try to get it set up so that we can have as many managers as possible taking part.

Generally, leagues have an expansion draft in which existing teams get to protect a predetermined number of their current players, and the expansion teams draft a three or so rounds from their pool of unprotected keepers. Then they draft first over-all in the regular draft. Compensation picks are then generally awarded to the teams who lost players in the expansion draft usually around the 5th or 6th round.

ESPN should have an expansion option, but I haven't really looked at it. I wouldn't have a problem with them going first. Maybe flip a coin and the winner goes first, loser second, and then in reverse order of the winners from last year.

I think Rynar's suggestion seems fair, but whatever you guys decide is fine with me. Last year I had a horrible draft because it was my first time playing and I was retarded, so I'm pretty confident that no matter what, this year will be better.

The way my hockey league did it last year when we had new teams enter is.....we had 4 keepers....so your keepers were essentially your first 4 rounds of drafted players. The draft order was set allowing the new teams to pick 1 and 2 in the first round, then 11 and 12 in the second round and so on and so forth. Essentially, because each team had their 4 keepers, the new teams essentially had the first 2 picks for the first 4 rounds, then the order was fixed and everything went normal after that. That's what I would suggest...set the new teams up as draft order 1 and 2 and then do the draft order by standings for last year. Last question, is the draft order decided by regular season finish or playoff finish?

Ok, we go with Rynar and Amanar with the first two picks(I'll get LK to do a coin flip with me to decide, I hope you guys are ok with that). Just remember, kind of limited on how much I can edit the draft.

Readd, the league puts it by how things finished up after the playoffs so I'm just going to go with that. Can't remember where you go to see it but it gives a list of how the teams finished(I'm at work so can't check). I'll post the order this evening when I get home.

Still need a general time on when to draft. Sooner the better. I'm free this weekend. Draft usually takes about an hour.

Sunday would work OK for me. I have a wedding to attend on Saturday and will be completely unavailable.

Let me know if you can't view that.

While on the subject, Drex, Roophus and Cold Steel's owner...you haven't selected keepers. If that's what you want to do, that's cool...but once the draft starts, it's too late.

Sunday at 2 should work for me, Sunday's are often hectic for me, but I should be able to squeeze it in.

I'm not sure how it was set up exactly, but the other ESPN keeper league I'm in, when we added two players, after everyone had set their keepers, those basically become your draft picks for the first X number of rounds, X being the number of keepers. With the two new teams, since they did not have any keepers, they got to pick from the available pool of players in the first two rounds so they got the best available players. It seemed to work out well for them, and that was a league that allowed 4 keepers. With only two keepers, I'd think it would work pretty well here too. Just a thought.

I don't currently have any plans for Sunday. I'd generally prefer to do it on a weeknight or something, but Sunday should work.

The B(oYo)Biesville B(oYo)Bies are here to dominate. Also, I don't see a list of the protected players on there. Do Amanar and myself get to draft until we have the same amount of players as those of you who have protected players, and then you join the draft?

Could we delay the draft until pre-season is at least half over? There's a lot of room for injuries especially given that the players haven't had their usual practices.

Damn it, I don't normally go into any sports related forums if I can help it. But that means I missed this thread.

Is it too late to get into the fantasy football league this year? I really enjoyed my first time playing last year with my coworkers.

I'd be fine with it Numbuk but we would need one more to make it even.

Though I do believe the league will take an odd number of teams. I'd have to check that when I get home, plus see if everyone else is ok with adding more.

What say you members of the league?

If it's too much a hassle, that's ok. I can wait until next year.
