California is a community property state... and you can file for support too. Are your incomes pretty close?

It used to be, yes, when we were in the same department.

Since I got a promotion last year, no.

And, since it's review time, the gap is widening.

Also, that's gross income, not factoring in her lost income due to migraines/FMLA/unpaid leave.
