As if my continued addiction to Buckyballs isn't bad enough, they go and come out with these:

Must get...

Mine are currently serving as a coaster (and not a very good one at that).

Bucky cubes look fun.. and useful. I have quite a collection of rare-earth magnets that I use for various things in my guitar building. For example, the bigger ones make nice little clamps for tight areas where traditional clamps won't go.

I bought a set of Zen Magnets instead after watching this video.

I know it's probably not the most objective video, but it was enough to convince me.

I've been dubious as to whether the cubes will be any fun... After all, you can stack the spheres in grids already.

I dunno, I think they could be fun in a different way - I find myself getting frustrated with the balls sometimes. Having flush edges and the ability to stack might be fun.

Might have to invest. Thanks, readd.

I have the cubes. They are just as much fun as the spheres, but in a different way...

The one downside is that they don't automatically orient themselves to the correct polarity, so you might find yourself twisting individual magnets trying to get something to fit together...

Okay I picked up some zen magnets.

First impression...these are much more difficult to use than I had anticipated.

Bucky Bars look amusing, but I can't help thinking that I enjoy making "solid" (solid surface, at least) polyhedra far more than the target market for Bars...

I look at the "classically" assembled icosahedron on their promotional material and think "amateurs..." ;)

Wow, they've really gone whole hog with the new colors and shapes 'n such.

Good for them. I hope they're making a ton of money.
