Its just a few episodes to lead into the movie. To "catch up" with what the Bluths have been up to in the interim.
Spoiler:
Michael, George Michael, and George Sr. were in Cabo. The rest of the fam was on the QM running from the FTC (I think) after they were turned in.

Any air date yet? I have to plan sufficient time to re-watch the entire series in preparation.

The first 2 or 3 episodes I was like "meh" but the show was more about getting to know the characters and once you do that, it's absolutely hilarious.

I would assume convincing James Franco and Seth Rogan to hop back into any television show would be difficult at this point (but in another 15 - 20 years, who knows?). Let alone that the show's concept doesn't work as well outside of high school, and all the actors would have a rougher time convincing folks they are high school teens.

But it is a nice dream. Keep hope alive!

Not to mention the difficulty John Francis Daley would have reprising his old role.

Pay Rogan enough to pay for his weed and he would do it. Franco, you just have to give him something he likes. Hell, he was on General Hospital on and off for more than a year.

Netflix has freaks and geeks on streaming, they'll know if there's enough audience to make it worth their while. Started watching the old episodes of Arrested Development to prepare, I love the show, but every time I see it I'm still amazed at how good it is.

There have been a few episodes that have been...meh...but the overall has been really good. The last episode I just watched(Buster's) has been my favorite. The scene where he is caught on camera dancing had me hurting from laughing so hard. I just lost it.
