At least Philadelphia is better than Boston.

Wow did you see the smear campaign Boston ran on Tito? Thanks for the World Series, now go **** your mom.

Boston's got some serious problems to face in the next few months. From what little I've read about it, I don't think any of that clubhouse nonsense has anything to do with it, either. Maybe just being unable to handle going through that epic collapse? Good teams have bad stretches, but if they never recover from it it could get out of hand quickly... maybe that's what has happened here.

In any case, they should prove to be the most interesting offseason story... while I'm not a fan of Boston becoming the next Yankees going out and buying up the biggest superstars with contracts they can't refuse, I wasn't really all that unhappy with them overall. Not til this September, anyway.

Boston's roster, the Yankees pitching staff... Albert Pujols, and Prince Fielder..

All interesting off-season stories to follow.

Boston and New York only because I so enjoy watching them fail so gloriously after spending so much money.

It'll be interesting to see if Pujols and Fielder just go for the most money.

This off-season is about Lozano vs. Boras. Nothing else matters one whit ...

I don't think Boston or the Yankees are gonna do that much.

Pujols and Fielder will only move if someone can find the money to pay them, and I don't think we will see ARod type contracts again anytime soon. Both could easily be back in the same city, unless the Cubs want to make a splash.

The deciding factors are the economy and teams either already tied up in contracts or under some sort of ownership debacle. LA Dodgers have their problems, as do the Mets. That takes two out of most of the picture.

Prince Fielders agent is Scott Boras. Unless Prince decides to give them a huge home town discount, there is no way the Brewers will be able to afford him.

The question is, will he take the offer for the most money-over-years or will he take a lesser deal to play in a comfortable environment (or on a winning team) ala Jared Weaver?

C.C. Sabathia has an opt out option in his contract, and could decide to bail on the Yankees (probably not likely). Besides Sabathia, the Yankees starting pitching is pretty bad (at least by their standards). It's hard to imagine they won't do something to shore that up. Lots of rumors around Seattle sports talk that the Yankees will try to trade for Felix Hernandez some time before the trade deadline next season.

Pujols' name makes me giggle like a 7 year old every time I hear it.

Actually, Prince won't have too much say in whether or not he stays in Milwaukee. There's a reason almost every General Manager in the game hates Scott Boras ...
