Here's the specs to run it. Surprising, to say the least. I was expecting much, much higher.

**** **** **** ****!

Oh wait, this is the reboot? I am tempted to reserve my Xbox copy every time I pass Gamestop. I will get it for sure, but just a matter of timing.

Reposting my original video since it's a new thread and it still cracks me up (and gets stuck in my head).

The specs are not nearly as bad as I thought, but I would never be able to run it on my laptop.

Not sure what you mean by "reboot." Every Elder Scrolls game differs from the previous both visually and control-wise in general. It is still set in the same Universe as Oblivion, Morrowind, Daggerfall, etc. But yes it is different as well.

The option to DW was the final sell for me.

I think he means the reboot of the thread.

Yes. I have resolved to play a dual dagger-wielding 100% pure evil assassin for my first playthrough. They have much improved the stealth and stealth-attack system in this game over Oblivion (a backstab unawares I think does 60x damage, instead of 6 I think... and you have the ability to "Vanish" in the middle of combat like in WoW).

Since Dragon Age 2 didn't give me the experience I was looking for in terms of "Evil my first time through" I am shifting it over to this game. One that I know will deliver deliciously evil choices. It will be hard, because I always play as the good guy my first time through. Especially in a game that I have wanted more than any other game in the past 5 years.

As a child of the '90s, "DW" means "Darkwing" to me, so I was really confused here.

This looks very purrty.

I'll likely give it a short trial off a torrent download before deciding I don't like it and deleting it.

I've intentionally kept my expectations for this game very low, because we've all seen the hype train roar out of control and slam into the local station far too many times, and it seems like a hell of a lot of people are hopping onto that train yet again. I have a feeling I know what this game will be like. It will be Oblivion++, nothing more and nothing less, nothing groundbreaking, but still a fun game. Let's just hope for some cool surprises that Bethesda's kept under wraps.

Pretty sure the dragons will make it way more awesome than Oblivion. And dual wielding. Dual wielding spells, even.

If it is Oblivion++ then I will be extremely happy and overly satisfied.

I will be happy with Skyrim if the new leveling / skills / experience system doesn't suck like the one in Oblivion and if there is more variation in how characters act / speak and more varied landscapes / dungeons.

Thankfully it looks like this will happen.

I've submitted the paperwork to revoke your Ranger card.

I don't believe Mr. Sky ever played a ranger for more than a few minutes.

If memory serves his main EQ character was a shaman...

So, unless he was bestowed a card in honorarium or something, he doesn't have one to revoke :p

Real rangers use one weapon at a time.

(See "Aragorn.")

Sword and burning brand on Weathertop.

Though, I don't disagree in principle. The dual wielding fantasy trope derives for more clearly from D&D rules than any non-D&D related literary characters.

Yep...and you can pretty much thank Drizzt for the whole dual wielding ranger archetype.

Let's not sugar-coat it.
