People are picking on Corolinth now? That seems to violate some probabilistic wave function since I've been posting frequently lately.

Also Aizle, if you are using grammar as an excuse not to read something, then use a similar metric for yourself when deciding to write.

You can't pick on someone who doesn't give a ****. Some of us take things said here more seriously than others.

Still doesn't make either one of them terribly creative, perceptive, or insightful. Contempt is easy. Anyone can engage in contempt for almost anything with minimal effort.

Coming from the guy whos dick he happens to be sucking that doesn't mean a lot. If he'd have made that post for someone he doesn't happen to agree with on almost everything it might have some actual meaning.

I think it's more an observation of the cliquish nature of glade interrelationships, LK.

I don't think anyone is REALLY polishing Dooms codpiece. Which, in reality, might actually improve the dictators attitude, were it to occur.

It's not grammar that I'm objecting to per se, it's that article's complete inability to get it's point across because of bad grammar. If he could have made his point but had spelling errors, I wouldn't really care that much.

"Words you don't understand" != "bad grammar"

You're right, they aren't. My problems reading that article had nothing to do with vocabulary.

Are you trying to say you speak English as a second language?

Hmm let's see what the Glade thought of my provocative pictures from the protest!

Funny thing about citing sources...

When I write a post on the Glade, I am keenly aware of some very important details that perhaps I should fill the rest of you in on.

You guys are not going to read the entire post, let alone any sources I might have. None of you are the least bit interested in anything so highbrow as academic integrity, which makes citing sources so as to avoid plagiarism a moot point. I am not writing a research paper when I post here.

I ran across this about six months ago when we had that thread on the upcoming scarcity of liquid helium. I started looking up some numbers so that I could model an MRI in a circuit simulator to explain why you couldn't just let them run at a higher temperature when I realized that I was getting ready to do a few thousand dollars worth of consulting work that none of you were going to pay me for. Not only was I not going to get paid, but nobody would have read it. Big fat waste of my time, so I didn't do it. <- This is the part you can omit in order to pretend Khross wrote this post.

There is a very sharp difference between not accepting things at face value - demanding proof and supporting evidence - and stubborn ignorance. I'm giving this stuff out for free. If you don't want to take my word for it, then don't. That's not my problem, and I'm sure as hell not going to go through all the work to write a well-researched article just so you **** can skim over it, quote one line, and continue spouting the same retarded bullshit. **** you. You're not getting it.

LMAO - you're not even paying attention. What, exactly, are you complaining about?

What I was making fun of from Khross's post was the EXACT opposite of what you are saying here. He didn't make a point and fail to provide a source, he provided a source and failed to say anything. Which, you'll note, is what I did above in a tongue-in-cheek mockery. The funniest part? You illustrated my point brilliantly by not understanding the point I was trying to make with just a link and no discussion.

Anyway, lighten up, bro - if you don't want to cite a source, nobody's going to blame you. I'd be the first to say I'm not going to spend a lot of time on a topic I don't care that much about. But, see, here's the thing: If you don't back up your statements, that's fine, but why does that justify you complaining about other people for not a) reading some past post that they may not have cared about, or b) not believing what you say? If it's not important enough for you to address your doubter's concerns, then let them be doubters. Who gives a ****?

He doesn't have me on ignore. He's responded to several of my posts, of late. I doubt he has many on ignore, despite what he says. He may have had in the past, or may have me on ignore now, lol, who the hell knows.

Anyway, he may not have been talking to me - it's very difficult to tell with many of his posts.

For sure. That's only 20% of total users. Considering alts, he's hitting below the Mendoza line.

It's 20% of total users but likely close to a majority of active posters. If you're really that contemptuous of the board in general that you have to put that many people on ignore, what are you still doing posting here? Playing PBP games? If so, then why doesn't he just stick to those forums instead of taking a weekly **** of imagined superiority all over Hellfire? Because it makes him feel better to lecture people on the internet about how they're supposedly more petty than a guy that engages in that kind of behavior?
