Don't forget to set you clocks back an hour (unless you live somewhere where you don't :p )

And finally the clock in my bathroom will be right for another six months :p

The only clocks that matter (my phone and my computer) automatically adjust.

6 months? Isn't it closer to 4 these days since we've been constantly screwing around and extending DST?

Probably never, since without it kids are going to school in the morning in the dark.

I would have had to work an extra hour last night too, but I'm not cleared to return to work until Tuesday, so I got an extra hour of sleep instead! This was good, because the baby is all congested and kept waking us up.

I do look forward to seeing all the people who showed up an hour early for church this morning though.

Once everyone switches from energy-sucking incandescent lights to more efficient CFLs and LEDs. Daylight Saving Time still does exactly what it was intended to: shifts the work day more into daylight hours to save on the power expenditure of lighting.

The places that don't follow it are the ones in which the cost of cooling a building one extra hour is greater than the savings of lighting it one less.

My bedroom alarm clock also self-adjusts. I only need to fix the microwave and car.

I have several analog wall clocks in various places that need manual updates. Bathroom, Workshop, Car Stereo...

I also have a couple of 19th century antiques that need some annual TLC and manual adjustment.

Also, don't forget to check your smoke/fire/Co2 alarms and change batteries if necessary.

Also, don't forget to adjust your time zone in Glade settings accordingly.

DE: Don't kids have to go to school in the dark in the spring?
Taamar: From everything that I've read, it's really not saving us any energy at all. Quite the opposite actually.

I had a boss that didn't want to pay me for that extra hour. He told me when we Spring forward, I would get an hour's pay for not working. I had to explain, my shift didn't work that day...... :derp:

My phone adjusts automatically, and my alarm clock syncs to my phone, but apparently it only checks for sync when you put the phone in the cradle.

So I woke up at 7:16 this morning able to sleep for another hour. wheeee!

However I still have an wrist watch. (I know i"m old fashioned, but also technically I'm not supposed to have my phone at work.)

LK, Arizona is the state that saves money by not participating in DST. However, Tamaar's point about reducing electricity demand doesn't make sense for Indiana. But iirc, most of Indiana does the DST switch nowadays.

Ironically, I'm affected by DST time changes despite being in Arizona because now I have to remember to uncorrect all the automatically correcting clocks in my house :p
