That used to happen to me after sex for a while. That's stopped lately, thank goodness.

The sex, or the post-coital deafness?

Well, there was a pop...and then some blood. I still can't hear out of it. I mean, I can hear a little bit, but not really.

Have you gone to the doctor about this? Perhaps asked to see a specialist?

Yeah, a pop and some blood suggests burst ear drum, no? Go get that taken care of, man, you're too young to lose your hearing.

Don't mess around with your ears, man. If I'd gone to my doc at the first sign of an earache a year and a half ago, I might have avoided the suckitude of tinnitus.

The first month of that crap was the absolute most miserable experience of my life. Imagine a noise that you just can't escape that just doesn't stop. It's nowhere near as bad now, I guess I got used to the "normal" sound...but if I get stressed or sick enough, it can flare up again andget bad.

Yeah, I'd go see a doctor, but I don't have a job or insurance or anything like that. So, it's kinda impossible. Believe me, if I could, I totally would.

How about one of the walk in clinics, if there's one "nearby" usually they don't charge an arm and a leg. It could still unfortunately be more than you can afford, but it should still be cheaper overall than seeing the doctor.

Infection can cause stuff like this. You may have an ear infection. Though, normally they come with a lot of pain. SG would know better. I'm just a shmoe.

Afterward. Had nothing to do with female screaming either, if that's what you meant.

Edit: I had a really bad ear infection about 3 years ago. Was so bad it had me fetal for a few hours before the wife convinced me to go to urgent care. The urgent care doc told me my ear drum would likely pop but not to worry because it would grow back together. It popped the next day and a little bit of blood and puss came out. I basically would just tilt my head and use a q-tip without going deep with it. The next couple months I kept hearing the sound of breathing into a brown paper bag every time I breathed deep. Things went back to normal though.

I don't think you need to worry too much, but still check it out.

Most states have programs for people that do not have insurance. Most of them are paid from the extra taxes taken out of your pay when you are working. You've paid your dues, go get find out what is available and get looked at.

Don't take chances with your hearing.

There is no hospital or health care provider to which I've ever gone that has objected to splitting the amount owed over however many payments you need.

Go to the doctor.

You're in California, man, people go the ER all the time with no ability to pay. :)

Seriously, there's gotta be something out where you live. For some reason, Chino sticks in my head:

U.S. Healthworks
Low cost urgent care services. For $60 an office visit. Urgent Care Services include - Colds/Flu, Sprains, Cuts, Asthma, and High Blood Pressure.
15341 Central Ave
Chino, CA 91710
909-628-6011

And, here's a list of places in the Fontana area, some of which look convenient to you and which offer low-cost or "sliding scale" care.

Well i guess it really comes down to what's more important to you. Money or your hearing. Money comes and goes, man...but you'll never get your hearing back if you lose that.

Go see a doctor. ASAP.
