meh, after seeing it the first thing I thought was it was kind of cool, and at least its not another boring tall building. While I see what people are saying about it I think some people are over sensitive to the whole thing and want to be offended.

We recently passed the 60th anniversary of another day of infamy that will live in the hearts of American citizens forever, but I never once heard my grandfather comment that the sight of a wrecked ship conjured painful memories of Pearl Harbor. Instead we have the USS Missouri parked in Pearl Harbor with its cannons pointing out over the wreckage of the USS Arizona. What have we done with the rubble of the World Trade Center besides cry about it for ten years?

You think that has anything to do with the fact that when a ship get's wrecked it's A) by accident and B) under water where you can't see it. Of course your grandfather doesn't say that. How often does anyone make something that loooks like a battleship exploding?

It's just a ubiquitous image in this country. I could say the same of Britney Spears or J Lo. Good luck avoiding them regardless of your thoughts on never forget.

At the bare minimum it's a "Now that you mention it, yeah. How did I not see that". Meaning it's not individual perception. Italy looks like a boot. It's not debatable, maybe you didnt see it at first but it's obvious.

Honestly, I've mostly forgotten about 9/11.

I remember it quite clearly.

The response of the rest of the world was kinda amazing. I remember hoping that some good could come from it.
