Obvious political rhetoric aside, I'm glad some are seeing this as the pipe dream it was.

I'm elated. Now if they'd only get rid of that stupid emissions test for cars every two years.

Preservation of natural areas and wildlife, saving endangered animals, preventing air pollution, and so on are environmental causes that are more worthwhile than global warming.

I think the motive is good at least for inspection stickers. I don't want poor air quality.

Every Year. New vehicles are not exempt.

I can understand for something that's maybe 10+ years old... but a brand new vehicle?

Ridiculous.

Indeed. I'm all for good stewardship of creation. Most of the HIGCC rhetoric is not about that. It's about control.

Ridiculous.

I have a Federally certified Low-Emissions Vehicle and I have to go through this BS every 2 years too. Absolute scam.

If only that was actually true. Ever seen The Day After Tomorrow? The average European really believes that something like that will happen, because of global warming.

Europe is a place where private companies will ask the general public for donations to reduce their greenhouse emissions, and people will send them money.

I have no problem with that, Xeq as long as the gov isn't forcing them to do so. Personally that doesn't interest me. I don't drive more car than I need, I reuse my plastic bags and containers, recycle my pop cans and keep an eye on my thermostat. I do these things more for the benefit of my own resources though. The fact they are good environmentally is a bonus.
