Ooh, valve is stepping it's game up! Free Holiday Gifts.

http://dealnews.com/Steam-The-Great-Gift-Pile-Giveaway-Free-gift-with-login/532079.html

I got a 25% off coupon for a valve-published game and a lump of coal (with 7 lumps of coal you can make them into a gift, apparently).

Btw, is it ok to skip ME1 and just buy ME2? Or do I NEED to play both?

Your decisions carry over from ME1 to ME2 and eventually 3 when it comes out. However, there are save game creators out there that let you pick the choices you want from the first one to import to the second game. However, ME1 is an excellent game on its own and I would recommend playing it.

I had 7 coal build up today. I got 50% off a game that is already 80% off now. LOL

A friend got Arkham City as a gift from coal. :(

Got Audiosurf for a mere $2.50, and Fallout 3 GOTY Edition for $7.50. My finances are glad I didn't see Mass Effects.

Having nearly no Steam games, I'm not gonna be getting many achievements so the few coal I get will have to win me some fancy contests at the start of the new year!

A bit short but for the money it was well worth it. The art style was so unique and fun.

Today's deals hit my wallet a little harder than the rest. Got the Dawn of War 2 pack for $20.23 and the Jedi Knight pack for $4.99.

I had picked up KotOR last week for $6 and now it's $2.50. Oh well, it's not that much cheaper. I am picking up the JK pack though.

Heh, Skyrim is a pretty awesome first gift up there. My first gift was Portal 2.

So far I've gotten Portal 2, nail'd, 7 coal, and a bunch of shitty, worthless coupons.
