The Giants will win by a field goalish difference in score again.

I'd say by at least that much. Tom Brady is looking old but both teams just look sloppy and very weak in the secondary to me.

What, just because of the camera stand?

Pretty much.

I'm not going to go as far as Khross, but there is absolutely zero room for self aggrandizing celebrations in the NFL as long as they are assessing penalties for those actions which are significant enough that they can severely hurt your team and your chances of winning. If you disagree with the rule, that's fine, but you have to follow it if you want to win games, especially in the playoffs. You can't tell me you weren't pissed off about the celebration while you were watching the replay.

Not as pissed as I was at the ton of **** on Kyle Williams' end. He literally lost the game for the whole team. Davis had a little leeway considering he's the only one on the team that could score. Which he did... Twice.

Mental mistakes are far worse than physical mistakes, as the first kind are 100% avoidable. With that said, the timing of Williams' fumble was incredibly unfortunate.

A muffed punt and a fumbled punt, BOTH of which directly led to scores by the Giants.

While this is true, the lack of third down conversions and the offensive line's halfassed protection of Alex Smith contributed more to the Niners loss. This was a team effort and they were not playing up to their capabilities yesterday.

I agree on the third down conversions, but the O-line wasn't offering "halfassed protection of Alex Smith", they were just getting beat by better players.
Manning gained a lot of respect from me due to his play in this game. Popping up after a gang-sack with his helmet twisted and clogged with grass, his shoulder-pads all funky and misaligned and immediately calling time-out was pretty damn impressive.

We will have to agree to disagree about the Niner's O-line, but I wholeheartedly agree with you about Eli Manning. :)

Kyle Williams is now receiving death threats.

it is the Raider's fans, jumping on the bandwagon late and bringing their gangsta fandom to the forefront.

They never follow through though.

Mostly.

They are playing in a dome, it will be dry, no wind and 70 degrees.

They will both put up at least four TD's... I think the Giants can win with the superior D.

I hope you are right Micheal. Kyle Williams is young and inexperienced...this off season I think he will improve and learn from his mistakes. I look forward to the Niners going all the way next year! (As a lifelong fan I always hope for the best, no matter what! :P )

The LA Times is running a bunch of good articles in the run-up to the Super Bowl, and today's article was about the importance of the quarterback position. That article was OK, but the fun part was the sidebar - three pieces by Steve Young, Trent Dilfer, and Rich Gannon. Unfortunately, their digital edition is all **** up, and I can't link directly to a page with all three, so you'll have to find them in the "Also" section. Worth a read, though. I like Dilfer's the best, I think, but Gannon's was pretty interesting, too.

I shoulda bet the Giants and the under. Like I told myself I was gonna. But if I had, it would have been 51-49 Patriots.
