I will always remember how much you love Twinkies.

Always.

P.S. Did you know Twinkies aren't baked?

From the "Letters" section of that site:
T.W.I.N.K.I.E.S. Project - Letters wrote:
At a small overpriced college somewhere near Cleveland, there are people who eat in cooperative dining halls. A while back, maybe 8 years or so, there was a special meal prepared to celebrate their collective nostalgia for the sugary foods of youth. The breadbakers inserted surprise Twinkies in the loaves of wholegrain bread. Good idea, no? Once in the ovens, the loaves exploded in volcanic blurps of white creamy lava. Being educated people, they called the Hostess 1-800 number on the back of the Twinkie packages and explained their situation. They learned that the said pastries are, in fact, never baked. They are polymers with a painted dye on the bottom designed to mimic the golden brown of the oven. When Hostess was asked whether the Twinkies could still be consumed, they were told, "We would not recommend that."

Case students have too much time on their hands.

The Unwrapped episode where they made these was super-dull.

I remember a little joint in a local mall that sold deep-fried twinkies. They'd go even more crazy by putting powdered sugar, chocolate syrup, and whatever else you wanted on them. I remember this because I flirted with the girl who worked there and got a free one out of the deal (was going for a phone number, but I don't think I got it).

It wasn't bad. But I am sure it did permanent damage somewhere inside me.

Edit: Regarding the video... that Wendy lady creeps me the hell out. And when they mentioned it was Kobayashi who was doing it, I knew it was going to be done. He's quite well-known in most champion competition-eating circles. Hot dogs being his specialty, I think.

I ate two Twinkies yesterday, just in case they were the last two Twinkies I would ever eat again.

I still say they are not as good as they used to be. Zingers are far better.

Now if you want something yummy...the Banana Walnut mini muffins they make are outstanding.

I think a lot of snack cakes are better than Twinkies. Ho-Hos, Ding Dongs, Swiss Cake Rolls, Star Crunch, Zebra Cakes, Funny Bones, Suzy Qs ... damn, now I'm hungry

It's to make them seem harmless, when in fact they are evil incarnate. ;)

Lots and lots of folks hoarding as much Hostess products as they can around here. And apparently it's happening all over the country.

I hadn't really believed it until I was at Target and the lady in front of me had at least 6 boxes of Hostess products.

I am willing to bet that Hostess has sold more product in the last few days than it has in the last few years. Most people I talk to, myself included, have a hard time remembering the last time we ate something from Hostess.

I doubt that Numbuk, simply because manufacturing has stopped. All they had to sell is what they had on hand.

Certainly, there was a run, but supply was limited.

Crisis averted.

Management and labor have agreed to a mediator.

Step back away from that ledge, Raltar.

Wow...**** brilliant.

"We will never make twinkies again."

20 million boxes sold later...

"We may have found a solution!"
