Clint should definitely be a little cuter. Hawkeye was always a favorite.

Which is why they should have gone with the Secret Defenders.

Huh. That almost looks like a short-haired Cobie Smulders in the preview frame for the YouTube embed.

Edit: Oh. Because it is.

Ok Hulk catching Iron Man was cool. However, I am not sure that impact would be less painful than hitting the ground.

Actually, he catches him while jumping down from above, then comes to a stop slowly by grabbing the building beside him. The physics look...plausible. Tony might be sore, but he hasn't turned into red jelly inside the suit.

I don't like Cap's costume. Which is sad, because I liked the WWII version from his movie.

Hmmmm ... that's definitely Ultimate Hawkeye's costume, which makes the lack of something dry, witty, and totally inappropriate while falling from god knows where to shoot god knows what all the more appalling ...

I don't know where you're getting this from. Ultimate Hawkeye is not the prankster or sarcastic comic relief. He's the angsty had-his-family-murdered-and-now-is-on-a-spree-of-suicide-by-whatever-nasty-comes-his-way-and-needs-killing-while-disrespecting-authority-with-a-foul-mouth character.

I thought all of that was covered by the "falling from god knows where to shoot god knows what" part of the description ...

Yeah, but he's a lot less chatty unless he's chewing out or raging against The Man, was my point.

Yes, but the real Clint would never be falling. He'd be skydiving without a parachute and figuring out the escape plan later ... even if it's only 4 seconds.

He probably figures he has a couple seconds to burn shooting the bad guy before he has to worry about saving his own tusch.

Oh, and thank you Talya.

It is the cowl...I'd rather they stuck with the helmet. Had they done that, it would have been fine.

Whatever material it is just looks too shiny, and poorly fitted, particularly across the chest. I know it's hard to translate comic costumes to the screen, but I thought they did a particularly bad job here. (Hope he stays away from open flames - those synthetics would melt!)

However, I'm still looking forward to the movie. I also need to see the most recent Hulk movie. I missed it when it was out.

But how 'bout how Tony removes his suit? That was well done.

Yeah, I really did like that Tony's upgraded his suit fitting machine to operate while he's in transit to/from his launch pad.

I watched the trailer again and finally figured out what's bugging me about it - the asymmetrical closure and the random darts. There's a good close up here: http://www.worstpreviews.com/headline.php?id=22398.

Guess they are trying to modify the look to what Cap would wear today.

I think his choices would be top end Underarmor, a titanium mail shirt as flexible a set of gloves and pads as he could find. Not that weird stuff. The weird darts are due to Chris Evans pecs not fitting well without them.

Aha. Serienya, that helped me nail down my annoyance with the costume.

It's the two-tones of blue. Neither *really* match the helmet, and the brighter blue on the chest isn't even close. I don't mind the asymmetrical closure (though it would be a little easier to parse if there were some kind of visible closure mechanism to go with it), and the darts don't really bother me. The asymmetry of the collar is a little nagging (it's one thing for the closure to be asymmetrical, but randomly making it so that messes with the collar's silhouette is just silly), and I sit here a little befuddled as to why the boots need both laces AND the elasticy looking straps, but...

It's too many shades of blue, for no reason.

The closure looks to me like an invisible zipper. You can see the top stitching.
