Just FYI ...

I've seen maybe 5 episodes of Matt Smith's run. He's a horrible, horrible, horrible doctor.

*sigh* Do you like anything? No, he's not. Well, maybe if you're speaking of him being a medical doctor.

Of the three revival Doctors, Eccleston's the weakest, but even he's good. He just didn't have the time invested in the role that Tennant and Smith do, so there's less of an emotional connection to me. It's said you never forget your first Doctor, but while Eccleston was technically my first Doctor, Tennant is my Doctor.

I loved Eccleston's Doctor; I think Tennant's run is amazing, but I have some issues with his Doctor. Smith ... just doesn't work for me. It's funny -- cause the rest of his run is by all accounts amazing and some of the best ever. I just can't watch him as the Doctor.

A friend of mine summed it up for you, FarSky ...

You like the Doctor; you still want the Doctor to be the focus of the show week to week. Smith's Doctor is primarily an apparatus in plotting beyond his control.

I... kinda agree with this.

I quite like Matt Smith's take on the Doctor, and would put him up there with Tennant easily.

However... his run has become the Amy Pond and River Song show rather than Doctor Who. Not that I don't like either character, but the focus shifted too much away from the Doctor. So much so that I didn't pick it back up after the mid-season cliffhanger thingy.
