I know. I don't drink much, either.

Closest to a fight in school was when in lunch I wanted to see how many hits to the face I could take before I went down(into my mashed potatoes). It was 16. I think we both got in trouble for it.

I don't remember that at all....

I was in more than I should admit to...never lost any...never started any either.

My father always told me, "You better not start any fights, but if you decide you're going to fight, you better be the one that ends the fight." I always tried to live by that motto regarding fighting and confrontation.

I'm sure Foamy or Elmo witnessed at least 1 of mine.

EDIT: Actually, I started plenty on the ice during games, but I don't count those. I did lead the league my junior year in fights, game misconducts, and games suspended. Started 2 "everyone on the ice" fights as well...those were fun...have them on video.

The only other fight I remember in high school didn't involve me. It was when I was a freshman and two juniors started to fight. A small female teacher tried to get in between them but just got brushed off. Then a very large black girl came up to defend the teacher and in one shove separated both of them.

Wait - I now recall a fight outside the cafeteria where one person kept slamming the others head into the glass.

Wait a minute.. who did you play for, and what years? It wasn't Cardinal O'Hara, was it?

I played for Methacton 93 and 94...we sucked back then...they're pretty good now.

One was West Chester (East? I think) The maroon with gold emblem) Can't remember who the other one was...may have been one of the Downingtown teams.

Ahh, ok. I played for Strath Haven, but I graduated in 1993. We used to have bench-clearers with O'Hara every year. Only problem was it was at Haverford Skatium which was right next to the police station, so the fights tended to end rapidly.

Not too many really after I demonstrated that I was psychotic in a fight in 6th grade. The funniest - and shortest - one was in 8th grade. I still to this day have no idea why this kid wanted to fight me. He kept trying to set up a time after school and I kept saying no or gave him some excuse why not, I had no interest in fighting him.

We were in the hallway one day I think during lunch and he took a swing at me. I moved just a bit and he hit me right in the shoulder bone. I heard a loud crack, and as I stood there looking at him he was holding his hand. I started laughing, he didn't hurt me but we both knew he had broken something. I guided him to a teacher told him the kid had punched a wall and left. Never heard from him again after that.
